It has been found to be effective in eliminating thread-worms (pinworms); repelling flies and mosquitoes; and treating insect bites. Basil, Sweet has also been widely used to help with many emotional concerns such as anxiety, insomnia and depression. Safety Notes: Should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women in large doses. May be applied the last two weeks of pregnancy to encourage delivery.
